Biography of Commissioner

Police Commissioner of Chittagong Metropolitan Police Md. Abdul Jalil Mondal, bpm having an experience of serving in 19 different positions as a Police Officer. Md.Abdul Jalil Mondal is one of the creative and innovative police officers currently  serving  in  Bangladesh  Police.  Upon  joining  Police  in  the 7th BCS  (1988)  as  Assistant  Superintendent  of  Police, he  worked  in  important  places  e.g. S.P  Nilphamari, Bagerhat, S.P (Administration) in Bangladesh Police Academy Sardah, Rajshahi; SP Joypurhat; CID & AMP; SB, Dhaka; AIG, Police Headquarters; Deputy Police Commissioner, Khulna Metropolitan Police and Additional Police Commissioner in both CMP &DMP. In his illustrious career he received foreign training in Crime Prevention, Match-fixing  allegation  investigation  and  counter  terrorism  conferences  in  Australia, Hong-Kong, Malaysia and United States of America. He also attended a number of conferences, workshops and training sessions at home and abroad. Md.  Abdul  Jalil  Mondal  was  a  freedom  fighter  in  the  Independence  War  of  Bangladesh in  the year 1971.  He fought  in  the area of  Dinajpur,  Joypurhat  & AMP;  Naogaon and successfully took part in the battles to free the aforesaid districts. He served in United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Yugoslavia and in Kosovo. He successfully maintained his relationship with his counterparts from around the  world.  He  is  rewarded  the  Bangladesh  Police  Medal  (BPM)  as  recognition  of courageous activity and excellent performance in controlling Crime & AMP; Terrorism of Dhaka Metropolitan Police in the year 2013.This  renowned  officer  was  born  in  the  district  of  Pabna  in  April,  1957.  He completed his Honors in Philosophy from Jagannath University (College then) and M.A LLB from the same. He is married to Shahida Begum from Pabna and a proud father  of  two  established  sons;  one  in  Head  of  Branding  of  a  Company  and another as a Teacher of a University. He also performed Hajj with family in the year 2003 and an  active  Member  of  Quantum  Foundation,  the nonprofit organization dedicated to societal and personal development.
